In general, seal rings comply with standard DIN 3760 at a European level, and ISO 6194 at an international level.

Seal ring components

The main parts that make up a seal ring are:

  • a metal insert (steel sheeting is normally used, and stainless steel on request),
  • spiral tension spring: phosphate-coated C72 steel for springs (standard) - AISI302 stainless steel AISI316 (for acids and water),
  • elastomer part.

Seal ring applications

Seal rings are used as seals for rotating shafts, mainly in the following applications:
